As the sun fades away, the night lights of Invercargill come out to party.
Invercargill's Civic Theatre on Tay Street is lit up, as the bokeh of street and traffic lights, and passing vehicles dance under the glow of the moon.
About the art
This original oil painting captures the orbs of light that are seen looking west down Tay Street, Invercargill - New Zealand's Southern-most city.
Painted by New Zealand Artist Mel McKenzie (The Penny Drops) in 2022, the artwork is sealed with a satin varnish.
