Sunset Downs

This large oil painting depicts a rural New Zealand scene, with rolling hills sweeping down to farmland. Fenceposts and hedgerows lead the eye into the painting with a warm golden glow cast by the light at the end of the day. A pink sky with soft clouds provides warmth at the top of the scene, with rugged rocky outcrops and wildflowers adding interest in the foreground. 

A large oil painting on stretched canvas - the sides of the painting are painted with contrasting, freehand black and white stripes.

Measurements

The painting is 91cm wide, 61cm tall and 3.5cm deep.
The artwork is coated with a layer of varnish to give an even satin finish.
